# Recipient verification

> Verify recipients before sending payouts

Recipient verification helps reduce wrong-recipient, compromised-account, sanctions, and AML risk before money moves.

Pvium can use recipient account IDs, emails, or supported social IDs such as X, GitHub, Instagram, or TikTok to identify recipients.

Recipient verification can include:

* Recipient identity checks
* Account ownership checks
* Sanctions screening
* AML checks
* Required tax certificates
* Correction flows when recipient information is incomplete or fails validation
